Clint Van Der Linde was an exceptional boy soprano from South Africa singing a repertoire that most trebles would not even attempt. As well as his solo album he features on the Drakensberg Boys Choir CD 'Queen of the Night'. Following his successful treble solo career he obtained a scholarship for Eton College (England) where he sings on their album 'Top Hats And Tails' as a tenor.

Biography Discography Gallery Video treble boysoprano boy soprano chorister trebles soloist It was during 1991 that he was invited by PACT to sing in one of the boys' parts in Die zauberflöte. At first, Clint showed no special talent but that did bnot thwart his spirit. With determination and self discipline he applied himself to his singing. Without receiving any special attention for the first three years of his five year Choir school career he progressed steadily, relentlessly practising all Clint has appeared as soloist with most of the major orchestras in South Africa. In greece Poland Czechoslovakia, Germany Taiwan, Hong Kong Mauritius he moved audiences with singing. Amazing achievements for one so young In January 1993 he became a pupil at the pro Arte School in Pretoria. Der Hölle Rache from Die Zauberflöte became one of his show stopping arias. Mozarts Regina Coeli K127 was subsequently added to his repertoire as was the cantata No 51 by Bach, (Jauchzet Gott in Allen Landen) a piece technically difficult enough to daint many fine sopranos. Clint Van der Linde in 1897 aged 9 Clint van der linde auditioned for the drakensberg Boys Choir without his parents knowledge when the choir was on tour. They were amazed when he told them he had secured a place in the choir School. that he was told. During 1991, his penultimate year, it became apparent that he had developed a special talent and needed special attention.
